PLANT POPULATION: Open Field: Plant height will range from 60 – 90 cm, depending on growing conditions. A tramline support system with 1-2 wires is recommended for improved yield and marketable fruit. Plant population should be around 20,000 – 30,000 plants per hectare.
TUNNEL PRODUCTION: Removal of the first flower can improve plant growth, fruit yield, and quality. A plant density of 2 plants per square meter is optimal, and pruning to 2-3 stems per plant ensures better results.
